{"id":13680,"date":"2016-12-02T10:29:06","date_gmt":"2016-12-02T09:29:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ies.solutions\/en\/?p=13680"},"modified":"2019-01-29T12:35:28","modified_gmt":"2019-01-29T11:35:28","slug":"euab-meeting-for-episecc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ies.solutions\/en\/euab-meeting-for-episecc\/","title":{"rendered":"EUAB Meeting for EPISECC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The End Users Advisory Board (EUAB) meeting of the European FP7 Project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.episecc.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">EPISECC<\/a>, has been held from the 28th to the 30th of November, 2016, in Vienna\u00a0(Austria). For the EUAB meeting, the consortium prepared and run a demonstration to show the Syntactical and Semantic Interoperability between emergency management systems of cooperating organisations. Also, the partners showed the communication and tracking of resources equipped with TETRA terminals, always using the concept of Common Information Space (CIS) developed within the project.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The systems:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During\u00a0the demonstration, 4 systems simulating the tools of different emergency management services have been connected:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia &#8211; Italy<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Italian National Corp of Fire Brigades &#8211; Italy<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fire Brigades of Split &#8211; Croatia<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Austrian Red Cross &#8211; Austria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Amongst the tools, the partners used <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jixel.eu\" target=\"_blank\">JIXEL<\/a>, the communication and management platform developed by IES. The demonstration took into account a cross-border emergency scenario related to the aftermath of a relevant seismic disaster. The demonstration, as part of the testing and preparatory activities for the final PoC (Proof of Concept) of the project, triggered important discussions and the collection of useful feedback for the prosecution of the project&#8217;s activities.
