Taking care of the Internet. A vision for the future governance of the Internet and principles to guide public and private actions in cyberspace was today set out by European Commission Vice-President for the Digital Agenda Neelie Kroes in a speech to the Internet Governance Forum in Nairobi, Kenya. Ms Kroes spelled out her “Compact” for the Internet: “an Internet of Civic responsibility, One Internet that is Multi-stakeholder, Pro-democracy, Architecturally sound, inspiring Confidence and Transparently governed”. It is organised following the Public Consultation of the European Commission on an eHealth Action Plan (eHAP) 2012-2020. This initiative highlights what is needed both at European and Member State level to take eHealth services a significant step forward, i.e. beyond the mere deployment of infrastructures and it supports a long term vision for eHealth in Europe. eHealth is just one part of a significant transformation of health care provision towards shared care models where citizens and patients actively maintain their health. La Regione Lazio, preso atto dei malfunzionamenti che non hanno consentito una regolare prenotazione dei finanziamenti da parte delle imprese interessate a causa dell’elevato numero di accessi contemporanei al sito internet www.incentivi.lazio.it, ha provveduto a modificare l’Avviso Pubblico relativo al “Fondo Rotativo per le Pmi – Attività Produttive”. Journalists favour Twitter for networking. Social media has taken the world by storm, connecting people, ideas and activities, and social networking mediums like email and instant messaging are the norm. A group of people that has embraced social media is journalists. In particular, Twitter is the most widely used for networking, according to new research from Spain. 29 to 31 October 2011 in Porto, Portugal.Intelligent data analysis conference. Intelligent data analysis is a field which helps facilitate the sorting of large amounts of data. It can, for example, generate simple aggregations, general patterns and regularities that might otherwise go undetected. The conference will examine a wide variety of modeling and analysis methods, with a focus on end-to-end software systems. La Enterprise Europe Network si rafforza in Asia e debutta in Nord Africa. La Commissione europea amplia la penetrazione dell’Enterprise Europe Network, la rete di sostegno alle imprese e all’innovazione che lavora per le PMI, creando nuovi punti di contatto in Giappone e raddoppiando la propria presenza in Cina. L’obiettivo è fare in modo che cresca il numero delle piccole e medie imprese (PMI) europee che approfittano dei mercati in rapida crescita in Asia, America Latina e Europa orientale. La Commissione sta inoltre allargando la rete ai paesi del sud del Mediterraneo: otto punti di contatto in Tunisia, un partner di lunga data in Egitto e filiali di prossima apertura in Marocco. Azioni Marie Curie – 15 anni per promuovere le carriere di ricerca in Europa. Il programma Marie Curie Actions, che contribuisce a finanziare i migliori ricercatori in Europa, celebra il suo 15° anniversario. Per celebrare questo traguardo, Androulla Vassiliou, Commissario europeo per Istruzione, Cultura, Multilinguismo e la Gioventù, si unirà a 300 ricercatori scientifici che rappresentano varie discipline e nazionalità in una conferenza nella capitale polacca. EP position on Common framework for EU research and innovation. The European Parliament approved on 26 September 2011 during its plenary session in Strasbourg its position on the Commission’s Green Paper about the common strategic framework for EU research and innovation funding. Energia: assegnati 20 milioni di euro alle P.A. per progetti innovativi di impianti a fonti rinnovabili nel Sud. E’ stato firmato il 16 settembre dal Direttore generale per l’energia nucleare, le energie rinnovabili e l’efficienza energetica, del Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico, il decreto che approva gli elenchi dei progetti esemplari ammessi a contributo sulla linea 1.3 del POIN “Interventi a sostegno della produzione di energia da fonti rinnovabili, nell’ambito dell’efficientamento energetico degli edifici e utenze energetiche pubbliche o ad uso pubblico”.In arrivo quindi 20 milioni di euro per finanziare interventi per energie rinnovabili e risparmio energetico nel Mezzogiorno.
