On November the 26th, 2014 the third and last IDIRA large scale exercise will be held in the Naval Base of Skaramangas, Attica, Greece. Organised as a simulated multi-national intervention during a Fire/Earthquake disaster scenario, it is aimed at validating the interoperability tools developed by the project.
This event follows the previous large scale exercises successfully carried out in Austria and Germany and focused on Pandemic and Flood scenarios, respectively.
A significant number of European emergency organizations will be actively involved in the exercise, namely:
- Hellenic Ministry of Defence – HMOD (Greece)
- Representatives of the Hellenic Navy, from the Skaramagas Naval Base (Greece)
- Hellenic Fire Brigades (Greece)
- Center for Security Studies – KEMEA (Greece)
- Italian Fire Brigades – CNVVF (Italy)
- Austrian Red Cross – ORK (Austria)
- Greek municipalities (Greece)
