Joint Meeting on Common Information Space

The four projects focussed on interoperability, EPISECC, SECTOR, REDIRNET and SecInCore, will organise a joint meeting on Common Information Space and information sharing for disaster management.

ALPDIRIS: a new project for IES Solutions

ALPDIRIS aims at enhancing the cooperation between Italy (Friuli Venezia Giulia region) and Slovenia regarding alpine search and rescue, especially referring to communication and data exchange. The other members of the project are HITEC (coordinator), the Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Slovenian authority for disaster management.


Uberto Delprato Keynote Speaker at the ICT-DM’2016 Conference

During the first day, dr. Delprato will be a keynote speaker. His speech, “Interoperability in disaster management: a hope or a wish?”, will analyse what is needed to enhance interoperability between disaster management systems.


EUAB Meeting for EPISECC

The consortium prepared and run a demonstration to show the Syntactical and Semantic Interoperability between emergency management systems of cooperating organisations. The demonstration took into account a cross-border emergency scenario related to the aftermath of a relevant seismic disaster.


New project for IES Solutions: NAFTES

NAFTES stands for NAval Fire fighting Training & Education System: the projects aims at enhancing the quality of the training of ships crews, both military and commercial ones, on fire fighting operations. The training will be performed through an on-line platform, called NAFTES, that will include the use of rich media, innovative preparation tools and AR (Augmented Reality) equipment.


Second PSCE Conference 2016 in Athens

It will be a networking opportunity, as well an occasion to discuss state of the art and new possibilities with the several stakeholders that will attend the conference. Indeed, amongst PSCE members there are National bodies who are responsible for the management and use of public safety communications systems, as well as industries, private organisations and research institutes that are active in the safety and security domain.


IES at national info day on H2020 SPACE call

The speakers will talk about opportunities related to Galileo, Copernicus and EGNOS, as well as introduce the H2020 space program. Moreover, REA (Research Executive Agency, the Agency of the European Commission that manages the evaluation and the funding of the calls for proposals) will show some tips and tricks for enhancing the probabilities of getting funded.


“#SMEM: expectation and challenges” conference

The conference aims at examining the use of social media during emergencies, especially regarding the communication from the citizens to the authority. Uberto Delprato, IES' CEO, will be the chairman of the conference.
